What is the raffle about?

Every Bucks for Backpacks ticket purchase supports United Way’s Buddy Backpacks program which provides nutritious & shelf stable meal kits with child-friendly food items to in-need students referred by school staff. Enrolled students largely rely on school meals, and Buddy Backpacks sustain them every weekend and holiday break during the school year when they otherwise may not have enough to eat.

If you would like to know more about the UWNEMN Buddy Backpacks program, would like to volunteer, or to donate to the program directly, visit the Buddy Backpacks page on the official United Way website!

Lake Street Trick or Treat logo

On October 28th we will be having our Lake Street Trick or Treat event throughout downtown Chisholm! Kids will trick or treat storefront to storefront through downtown Chisholm dressed up in their costumes to transform Lake Street into the spookiest place on The Range and will collect their treats from all participating storefront locations in a safe and fun environment! Local businesses will open their doors and provide a variety of candies, snacks, and treats for the kids to grab (and we hope all of you adults will be dressed up too, it is the reason for the season!)

Last year’s Lake Street Trick or Treat was a smashing hit and we filled Chisholm with all manner of witches, ghosts, ghouls, heroes & villains. We hope to see everyone having just as much fun (if not more) as last year’s event. A full list of participating locations will be made available as the date approaches and will be available here or on our socials!

More information to come, but save the date and make sure that your costumes are set for Halloween the way that you remember it when you were a kid! Nothing brings more joy than seeing kids having fun on Halloween!
